If you use ITS for Windows, Library•Solution, CARL•X, or a non-TLC cataloging program, you can search TLC's BiblioFile ITS•MARC server (z3950.library.com) to take advantage of advanced search options not otherwise available on the traditional ITS•MARC server (z3950.itsmarc.com). To do so, you will need to establish one or more profiles to search the new server the way you want. Why bother?

Create your new profile(s) using the attribute settings below. If you are using a TLC cataloging product, get a jump start by downloading a pre-configured profile from the Shared Tips page. If you are not using a TLC cataloging product, please read on.

The following attributes are supported on Z3950.library.com. If your client software submits "default" as an attribute, it will be interpreted as indicated below. ITS•MARC for BiblioFile supports the US National Z39.50 Profile attribute settings. Enter your user ID, password, database name, Internet address and port, and search attributes as specified in your Z39.50 client software documentation.
