Field definition and scope:

Field 110 contains a corporate name used in a name or name/title heading in an established heading record or in a traced or an untraced reference record . In an established heading record, field 110 contains the established form of a corporate name. In a reference record, this field contains an unestablished form of a corporate name.

The National level record requirement for this field is Mandatory if applicable.

Field 110 is NOT repeatable .

Guidelines for applying content designators:

The content designators identify the subelements occurring in a name or name/title heading that contains a corporate name constructed according to the generally accepted cataloging and thesaurus-building rules [e.g, Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR 2), Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH)].

dotroyal.gif A name of a jurisdiction that represents an ecclesiastical entity is an X10 corporate name.

dotroyal.gif Corporate names used in phrase subject headings (e.g., Catholic Church in art) are contained in the X50 fields .
