643 Series Place and Publisher/Issuing Body (R) (Variable Data Field)
Field 643 contains the place of publication and the name of the publisher or issuing body of the series named in the 1XX field of an established heading record for a series . The field may also contain the volumes/dates to which the publication information applies. Multiple place and publisher/issuing body information may be contained in the field if each is appropriate to the series during a particular range of dates/volumes. Multiple place and publisher/issuing body information for different ranges of volumes/dates are contained in separate 643 fields.
The National level record requirement for this field is Optional.
Field 643 is repeatable .
