or Minimal-level records are:
National-level
records are required to contain sufficient cataloging information to allow
them to be used by various agencies nation- and world-wide.
Minimal-level records are required
to contain only essential cataloging information, although additional data
may be provided.
Requirement categories/codes are:
Mandatory. Data element must be present. (Abbreviation: M)
Mandatory if applicable. Data element must be present if it is appropriate
and the information is available. (Abbreviation: A)
Optional. Use of the data element is optional. (Abbreviation: O)
