Field 780 contains information concerning the immediate predecessor of the target item (chronological relationship ). If there is more than one predecessor entry, field 780 is repeated.
When a note is generated from this field, it is displayed and/or printed with an introductory term or phrase that is generated as a display constant based on the second indicator value .
The National level record requirement for this field is Mandatory if applicable.
