088 Report Number (R) (Variable Data Field)
Field 088 contains a report number that is not a Standard Technical Report Number (STRN). STRNs are recorded in field 027 (Standard Technical Report Number) . Field 088 is not used to record a number associated with a series statement. Field 088 is repeated for multiple report numbers, except when one number is the canceled or invalid number corresponding to a valid report number.
The National level record requirement for this field is Mandatory if applicable.
Field 088 is repeatable .
