X00 Subfield $4 - Relator code:

Subfield $4 contains a MARC code that specifies the relationship between a name and a work. More than one relator code may be used if the person has more than one function. The source of the MARC code is MARC Code List for Relators, Sources, Description Conventions that is maintained by the Library of Congress. The code is given after the name portion in name/title fields.
