Subfield $g contains the date of manufacture. If the date of manufacture has been used in place of a date of publication in subfield $c , it is not recorded in subfield $g.

In records formulated according to ISBD principles, subfield $g:

contains all data following a comma ( , ) when subfield $g follows subfield $f

ends with a closing parenthesis ( ) )

Subfield $g data, along with any subfield $e and $f data, are enclosed in parentheses.
