Leader/19 Linked record requirement (Leader)
Character position definition and scope:
The Linked record requirement character position contains a one-character alphanumeric code that indicates whether a note containing basic identification information can be generated from a Linking Entry field (76X-78X) without accessing the actual related record. Basic identification information such as the main entry and title, main entry and uniform title, main entry under uniform title, title, uniform title, standard technical report number, or report number is generally implied.
Record requirements (National-level and Minimal-level) for Leader/19 for all types of material : Mandatory.
Validity by material type : Leader/19 and its codes in the table below are valid for all types.
