Blank:
The blank character is available to the user and is typically generated by pressing the spacebar on the keyboard. A blank may represent a valid indicator or code; or it may mean an indicator is undefined, or that no information is available.
In this Help system, the blank is represented by the pound sign <#>. It is sometimes represented as an underscore character <_>.
