681 Classification Example Tracing Note (R) (Variable Data Field)
Field definition and scope: This field contains a note that documents the use of the classification number in field 153 (Classification Number) of the record as an example or reference in the 253 Complex See Reference , 353 Complex See Also Reference and/or 6XX note fields of another record. It permits the updating of the 253, 353, or 6XX fields in the related record when a change is made to a 153 field.
The information in this field is primarily intended to serve as a tracing of the use of classification numbers in examples and notes to assist classifiers in updating records. It is often not written in a form adequate for public user display.
