Glossary

The glossary gives definitions for terms used in the USMARC Format for Classification Data. When the term is used in connection with a specific field(s), the content designator to which it applies is in parentheses at the end of the definition. If a term applies only to a particular classification scheme (Library of Congress Classification or Dewey Decimal Classification), it is so indicated.
