12.7B23. (Notes) Item described
In the "Description based on" note, give the numeric and/or chronological designation information for the issue cited in the same order and with the appropriate ISBD punctuation as in the numeric and/or alphabetic, chronological, or other designation area. (Note: AACR2 no longer requires that the word or abbreviation following a colon in a note be capitalized.)
If the issue on which the description is based does not carry a chronological designation, give the numeric designation and the date which would have been used in the imprint had the issue being cataloged been the first issue.
