1F2.6. Home movies (Title and Statement of Responsibility)
Moving image material, the subjects of which are personal or family events, i.e., "home movies ," are usually produced by an amateur. It is of the utmost importance to the integrity of home movie collections to maintain their original intended organization.
Home movies are treated in a manner similar to thematically related footage (see 1F2.3 .). To supply a title for a home movie, invert the name of the person who is the subject of the material or is its focal point followed by a dash (--) and the phrase "home movies." Bracket the entire title statement. If an additional title appears on the film, container, or accompanying documentation, include it following the brackets with the period, space punctuation (. ). Supply additional numerical or descriptive titles if there are several separate home movie works that need to be uniquely identified. Enclose the entire title in brackets.
