Color Characteristics:
The following list of color characteristics can be used by archives desiring more specificity in describing color characteristics than is provided for in 5C2 . Depending upon space available in the cataloging record, and the needs of catalog users, these terms can be incorporated into the physical description, or they can be included in notes. For those using a MARC format, these descriptors can be coded in the 007/03 and 007/09 fixed field.
