Introduction (Note Area)
Record information in this area that does not readily fit into the other areas of the description. The extent and specificity of notes will depend upon the resources and technical information available in an individual archive, or other organization. In most instances, one should not expect or assume an in-depth technical expertise on the part of the cataloger. Nor should complex, lengthy, and highly technical information be included in the Note area. Preferably, this type of data should be maintained separately.
