Rereleases and Reissues
Archives do not consider a film or videorecording to be a version (with either minor or major changes) when the work is simply rereleased (released again by the original release company) or reissued (released again by a company other than the original releaser). Thus, the original filmographic information applies to the rerelease or reissue copy as well as to the original work. Both the original release information and, immediately following, the rerelease or reissue information are recorded in the same area, together expressing the relationship of the item in hand to the original material, i.e., the content is identical and the work was rereleased or reissued.
