Field definition and scope:

Field 511 contains a note giving information about the participants, players, narrators, presenters, or performers. In general, an on-screen narrator is recorded in field 511 and a voice-over narrator in field 508 (Creation/Production Credits Note) .

The participant or performer note is sometimes displayed and/or printed with an introductory term or phrase that is generated as a display constant based on the first indicator value .

The National level record requirement for this field is Mandatory if applicable.

Field 511 is repeatable .
