Individual artists are classed in the class of persons representing the medium in which the artist is best known. Special individuals, families, or firms may also be considered as special artists. The individual artist tables in the N classification schedule are very similar to the Biography Table (cf. G 320, Subject Cataloging Manual: Shelflisting ) except for slight differences in Cutter numbers and other modifications. The G 330 instruction sheet provides guidelines in the application of the individual artist tables.
