863 Enumeration and Chronology - Basic Bibliographic Unit (R) (Variable Data Fields)
Field Definition and Scope:
This field contains the enumeration and chronology of a basic bibliographic unit in the holdings of the reporting organization. A display may be generated from the contents of field 863 and the related field 853 (Captions and Pattern - Basic Bibliographic Unit) to which it is linked by subfield $6 (Link and sequence number).
