Transfer Volume:

A bibliographic unit containing material originally issued as a section or binder of a looseleaf service. To retain the material permanently, it is transferred from the looseleaf mode at the end of the year or from time to time by one of the following methods:

1) the material is reissued by the publisher in bound form and sent to the subscriber as part of a subscription or made available for separate purchase;

2) the material is transferred from the original looseleaf mode to permanent binders supplied by the publisher;

3) the material is removed from the looseleaf mode and is transferred to permanent binders or bound separately by the subscriber.
