Procedures and Guidelines - Classification and Shelflisting:

Classify and shelflist the item according to standard procedures adding the call number to the printout as well as to the item and the temporary shelflist card. The LC call number replaces the local call number field (tag 090) when it is present in the bibliographic record.

The geographic classification code(s) (tag 052) should be checked and if necessary revised to match the LC call number and subject tracings.
