Filing Location Indicators - Cartographic Miscellany Collection:

Special format materials pre-selected by the Head of the Technical Services Section are filed in the cartographic miscellany collection and receive the filing location designation MISC. Example:

Due to the size of these items, the Shelton collection is filed in the oversized map cases. The designation Shel, rather than Oversize, however, is added as the filing location indicator for items in this collection.
