PM3:

Used for views to be considered for inclusion in a projected third edition of Panoramic Maps of Anglo -American Cities. The notation should be added to bird’s-eye views of Anglo-American (i.e., U.S. and Canadian) cities published before 1925 that have been acquired and/or cataloged subsequent to the publication of the second edition. Views of cities in Mexico and other foreign cities are excluded.

Newly acquired facsimiles or originals included in the first or second editions of Panoramic Maps of Anglo-American Cities should be assigned the PM3 notation and not the citation/references note (tag 510) identifying the original.
