Lake and River Regions:

A lake region, river region, river valley, watershed, estuary, etc. receives the same Cutter as the hydrographic feature upon which the heading is based.

Generally class a river in the jurisdiction in which most of the river is located. At times this can be at variance with the qualifiers used in the established heading since a river is often qualified to identify the rider’s source in the first qualifier. Example:
