Subject Cutters:

G46 Cadastral Maps. Landownership. Real Property:

Firm guidelines for what constitutes a cadastral map are difficult to formulate. Generally, a cadastral map will be large-scale and will show property boundaries. The ownership of the land may or may not be shown. Ownership can be shown either by naming the owners or in the form of codes.

The subject heading usually used in conjunction with G46 is Real property--[Place]--Maps for items showing actual boundaries of real property or Landowners--[Place]--Maps for items showing/giving the names of landowners, either on the item itself or in an index. Both tracings are used for items showing both real estate boundaries and the names of landowners.
