The presence of a bibliography or bibliographies on an item is cited in a separate "bibliography" note (tag 504). This note always includes a standard term or phrase.

The title of a bibliography is not quoted as part of the note.

Bibliography: This term is used for all single maps with a bibliography or bibliographies or for a map series/set includes the same bibliography on all or some sheets and separate bibliographies that pertain to only specific sheets.

Bibliographical References: This phrase is used when a map series/set includes bibliographies, each of which pertains to a separate portion of the set, rather than to the set as a whole.
