Since a manuscript is not a published work, it can have neither a place of publication, nor a publisher. The absence of these components of a normal publication, distribution, etc. area is not noted. (S.l. is not used to indicate the absence of a place and s.n. is not used to indicate the absence of a publisher.)

The date in the publication, distribution, etc. area is the date of drawing. However, if the date of drawing is included in the title proper or other title information it is omitted from the publication, distribution, etc. area.

A facsimile of a manuscript has a publication, distribution, etc. area consisting of the information for the reproduction.
