Series Statement - Statements of Scale:

To improve the filing order in catalogs and other products sorted by LC filing programs, for series that contain a scale statement not compatible with the LC form, transcribe the series statement as it appears on the item but construct a series authority and any corresponding series tracing in standard form. Note that any traced series with a series statement that differs from the established form in the punctuation and spacing of a statement of scale has to be traced explicitly even though the series statement agrees with the established form in all other respects.
