Notes relating to the facsimile alone or to the process of reproduction and notes applicable to both the facsimile and the original or intermixing information on the facsimile and the original are transcribed as separate notes in the normal prescribed order. The term facsimile is always included in a separate note. When the term facsimile is used as a one-word sentence it is not abbreviated. When appropriate, both the singular and plural forms are abbreviated (i.e., facism. and facisms.).(2) Do not use the term facsimile in the introductory phrase of an "original version" note.
