When the facsimile contains series data relating to the reproduction as well as separate series data relating only to the original, transcribe the series statement relating to the facsimile in the series area and transcribe the series statement relating to the original in a separate "original version" note (tag 534).

When the facsimile contains only series data relating to the reproduction, transcribe the series statement(s) in the series area.

When the facsimile contains only series data relating to the original that was "carried over" as part of the reproduction process, then, if a common title is recorded as the title proper, consider the series data applicable to both and transcribe the series statement(s) in the series area, or, if a new or modified title unique to the facsimile was recorded as the title proper, consider the series data applicable to the original and transcribe the series statement(s) in a separate "original version" note (tag 534).
