Alternate Title: ... - Non-Roman Alphabet Alternate Title
When an alternate title that would normally be transcribed in a note appears in a non-Roman alphabet language with which the cataloger lacks expertise, the title is not necessarily Romanized and transcribed.
However, whenever other information must be Romanized, the alternate title is Romanized and included in a note.
When no other Romanization is required, the alternate title is not Romanized or transcribed in an "alternate title" note. Instead, a note explaining the situation is included. Example:
When an item, not requiring other Romanization, contains two or more alternate titles, of which the first is in a non-Roman alphabet, the first Roman-alphabet language or English title may be transcribed in the note. A separate note is included explaining the non-Roman alphabet alternate title. Example:
A note made to indicate the presence of a non-Roman alphabet alternate title may be combined with a language note. Example:
