The manufacture is the body responsible for the physical production of the item, For printed serials, the printer is the " manufacturer" of the serial. (The term "manufacturer" is used in AACR2 to cover non-print as well as printed publications.) The printer has no responsibility for the intellectual content of the item. The printer is also likely to change form issue to issue. Only in the case of government printers is the printer recorded as the publisher (see CCM 10.2.2).
