16.5.2. Changes that do not require a new record

Sometimes serial publishers distinguish the new numbering by adding "new series" or other words to this effect. In other situations, the numbering returns to "1" but the form changes (e.g., vol. 1, no. 1 goes to 1990/1). In both situations indicate the change in field 362 or a 515 note (see Module 8); do not make a new record.
