A. Is there a corporate body? (21.1B1)
B. Is the body in a special category (e.g., legal, religious, etc.)? If so, go to the rules for that category.
C. Are there variant forms of the name?
1. On one piece - 24.2A-D
2. On different pieces - consider whether it is a name change - 24.1C, LCRI 24.2
3. Full form vs. acronym or initialism - 24.2D/LCRI
4. More than one language - 24.3A-B
D. Is there a corporate hierarchy?
1. No - apply general rule (24.1) - apply 24.4-5. for qualifier, omissions
2. Yes - is it a government body? (see 24.17 for def.)
a. no - 24.12-24.13 - is it one of types 1-6?
1) no - enter directly under name with ref. - apply 24.4-5. for qualifier, omissions
2) yes - enter subordinately - apply 24.14 to determine whether part of the hierarchy can be omitted
b. yes - is it subordinate to a government body entered directly under the name?
1) no - 24.18 - is it one of types 1-11?
(a) no - enter directly under name with ref. - apply 24.4-5. for qualifier, omissions
(b) yes - enter subordinate to jurisdiction - apply 24.19 to determine whether part of hierarchy can be omitted
2) yes - 24.13 - is it one of types 1-6?
(a) no - enter directly under name with ref. - apply 24.4-5. for qualifier, omissions
(b) yes - enter subordinate to the parent body - apply 24.14 to determine whether part of hierarchy can be omitted
