Since corporate name headings are for corporate bodies, avoid using the title of an official who is the chief officer as the heading for the corporate body, even when this name is given on the chief source. Look to other sources in the piece and reference sources, if necessary, to find the name of the organization or agency. For instance, if the title is "Annual report of the Minister of Transport" and "Ministry of Transport" appears in a letter of transmittal, use "Ministry of Transport." (AACR2 24.20E/LCRI). If no other name is available, use the title of the official. Such headings are established as "provisional" in the name authority record.
