18.6.1. Omissions from the name
There are three types of omissions:
Omit an initial article except
when it constitutes the first element of a geographic or personal name
(AACR2 24.5A1). Example:
Omit phrases citing an honor or
order awarded to the body (AACR2
24.5B1). Example:
Omit terms of incorporation when
they are not needed to indicate that the name represents a corporate body (AACR2
24.4C1-C2). Example:
