The tag for an added entry for the title of a section or related work depends on the form of the entry.  If the form is that of a straight title or uniform title, field 730 or 740 is used, as explained below.  If the entry would be under a person, corporate body, or conference name, field 700 , 710 , or 711 is used, respectively.

7.5.1.  Separately titled sections included within the serial (analytical entries)

(AACR2 21.30M).  When a serial contains one or more separately named sections, the names of the sections may be given as added entries in field 740 or 700-711 if entered under a name heading.  Such titles are not given in field 246 because they are not variants of the title proper.

7.5.2.  Related works (see also Module 17)

An added entry may be given for another resource-- serial, monograph, integrating resource--when that resource has some responsibility for the serial in hand.  Added entries for related works are given in AACR2 form.  In the following examples the serial being cataloged is a supplement to another serial.

a.  Supplements and indexes

AACR2 21.28A1 lists the types of works that bear a relationship to another work.  Supplements and indexes are the only types listed that are likely to be serials.  According to AACR2 21.30G1, when cataloging a supplement to another publication, make an added entry for the other or "parent" publication.  If the related publication is a serial, link to the related publication (see Module 14).  As a rule, do not give an added entry for a supplement or index on the record for the "parent" or related publication, but give a linking entry field.
