In this section, geographic area codes are listed alphabetically by the code. Only the code and the name of the place are given. Tracings or references for variant forms are not included; see Geographic Area Name Sequence. Discontinued codes are also listed in this section, identified by a hyphen ( - ) preceding the code. For more information, see Arrangement of the List.
