A one-character alphabetic code that indicates the intended regularity of an item.  This element is used in conjunction with 008/18 (Frequency) and is based on the information found in field 310 (Current Publication Frequency).  The stated intent of the publisher is considered when coding the regularity.  A fill character ( | ) is used when no attempt has been made to code this 008 position.
