Field 061 contains information added to a bibliographic record by the National Library of Medicine that relates to second copies or sets of the described material that are in its collection.  Field 061 is used only for class numbers and call numbers relating to second copies and sets assigned by the National Library of Medicine.

The National level record requirement for this field is Optional.

Field 061 is repeatable.

Content designator history:

Second Indicator - Series call number  (SE)  [obsolete]:  In the serials specifications, the use of the second indicator position to indicate the type of series was made obsolete in 1976.  The values were:  0 (No series involved), 1 (Main series), 2 (Subseries), and 3 (Sub-subseries).
