F 250 Collected Works (Nonserial)

Procedures:

1. Class the following types of publications in the Collected works (Nonserial) number found at the head of major topics:

Multipart items consisting of monographic works by more than one author.

Collected works of one author, e.g., the complete works of one author on the topic, including monographs, essays, etc.

Collections of abstracts (cf. F 480)

2. Class the selected works of one author on a topic in the General works number.

3. If there is no provision for nonserial collected works under a topic, do not establish a new number. Use the General works number instead.

4. Class serial publications in the periodicals number.
