For reasons of economy, a general SA (See also) reference is sometimes made from a heading to its narrower headings as a group, frequently listing one or more individual headings by way of example. Such a reference serves to suggest to the user the pattern of the heading under which a particular class of group of topics is entered, to alert users of the existence of more specific headings, and to provide guidance as to the type of heading more appropriate to their search.
