For a work treating two or more topics in relation to each other, as in the case of effect or influence, tool or application, comparison, bias, and general relations, pre-coordinated headings representing such relationships are preferred to single-concept headings. If a pre-coordinated heading does not exist and can not be established for various reasons, a separate heading for each topic involved is assigned without representing the relationship(s) explicitly.
