9.24 Order of subdivisions
The citation order for subdivisions normally conforms to the pattern -topic-place-time-form with variations, particularly with regard to the position of the geographic subdivision, which may appear in any position after a topical main heading. The most common configurations of main heading/ subdivisions are:
A) [topical main heading]-[geographic subdivision]-[topical subdivision]-[chronological subdivision]-[form subdivision]
or
[topical main heading]-[topical subdivision]-[geographic subdivision]-[chronological subdivision]-[form subdivision],
and
B) [geographic main heading]-[topical subdivision]-[chronological subdivision]-[form subdivision] Examples
