Code i (008/06) indicates that the 1XX heading may be subdivided geographically using the indirect subdivision method when it is used in a subject access entry in a bibliographic record.  In this subdivision method, a subdivision for the name of the larger geographic entity is interposed between the heading and the subdivision for the specific place to which the heading is limited.
