Character position definition and scope:

A one-character alphabetic code indicates the recording format for videotapes or videodiscs.  If a bibliographic record for a videorecording describes various available formats, e.g., Beta and VHS videocassettes, then a separate 007 field is input for each.  A fill character ( | ) is used when no attempt has been made to code this position.
