Title page:
The leaf on which the chief title appears. When used in reference to "chief source of information" and "prescribed sources of information," "title page" refers only to the recto of the leaf. (The verso of this leaf is not a part of the "title page"; instead it is one of the "preliminaries." Cf. the definition of "preliminaries" in the AACR2 Glossary.) See also Title proper.
