Plate:

A primarily illustrative leaf that is not an integral part of a gathering, excepting an illustrated title page (including half title and added title page). Tables printed on leaves that are not an integral part of a gathering are also treated as plates, unlike other textual leaves, which are excluded from consideration as plates. See also Leaf of plates.
