247 Former Title

Field definition and scope:

Field 247 contains a former title of the event, program, etc. used prior to the field 245 title. Former names of a primary name, if present in a 1XX Primary Names field, may be recorded in a 79X Local Added Entry field.

When displayed/printed as a note, former titles may be preceded by an introductory term or phrase, e.g., Former title:, that may be generated as a display constant based on the tag.

Field 247 is repeatable.
